I have heard Nutanix's lifecycle can be daunting as well, but at least you're just dealing with one vendor for it all. I know you can use VMware on Nutanix, but tired of the constant patching you have to do with VMware and always make sure you are within their HCL. We don't have anything that would inhibit us from moving to AHV or Scale, but I'm just leery on moving away since I've only used VMware. Pricing is competitive between all three, to be honest, other than HPE and Nutanix offering all flash, better CPU, and 48GB more memory per node. I don't think our VMware licensing allows is (Essentials Plus). Also, I want the ease of a host failure to be automated. ![]() I've wanted to simplify the setup and got quotes for HPE SimpliVity, Nutanix, and Scale. ![]() Running two hosts (HP D元80p G8) and a HPE MSA 2040 (13TB). We are currently in the process of deciding whether to stick with VMware or move on.
